After extensive depositions and preparation for trial, we were able to expose the trucking company’s lack of vehicle maintenance that was the primary cause of the crash. Medical malpractice case against a doctor that failed to timely diagnose a pulmonary embolism. As a result, our client’s husband died. During the cross examination of the doctor at trial, we were able to get him to admit he had made an unreasonable mistake and took an unreasonable risk to the patient’s life. Due to statutory damage caps in the state of Texas at the time, the verdict was reduced to $1,725,000. Net to client: $760,000.

After an OSHA investigation, it was determined that the employer had failed to properly train and supervise our client, as well as failed to provide her with proper personal protective equipment required for the job she was performing. Truck wreck case involving an 18-wheeler. The driver fell asleep while driving on cruise control and rearended our client’s husband who stopped in traffic. Our client’s husband was tragically killed. Premises liability case involving a traumatic brain injury. After extensive discovery, we were able to show many deficiencies in how the property owner failed to conduct inspections of its premises, and how it failed to train/supervise its employees. Net to client: $1.5 million.
